Summer in a nutshell

So, what with having too little time on my hands, a quick round up of the last few months...
1. Discovered a new fossil unknown to humanity. Spent two months asking all the experts if they'd ever seen anything like it, then recording every minute detail about it.
2. Got a bit bored so purchased geological-supplies.com and spent AGES making the CSS work on internet explorer. My "jelly factory" is almost ready to stock more than just geological hammers!
3. Made college bar the cheapest in the world. 80p per large gin - ooh yeah.
4. Recieved an e-mail saying that my fossils were in fact the scales of a really well known and uninteresting fish - and are in fact Scotland's most common vertebrate fossils.
5. Hit self with geological hammer in frustration
6. Drowned sorrows with very many large gins.

A nice quiet Easter

So I asked my new project supervisor whether there was anything he'd recommend I did over Easter, expecting perhaps suggest a book to read or something. He has slightly broader plans:
"Probably the most useful thing to do at this stage is to read all the literature on
the botany of that era... Also, everything known about [fossil] fungi"
Sounds like I'll be having a nice easy break...
